LEDs Activity

Light emitting diodes are composed of a chip of semiconductor mounted on one lead with a gold wire connected to the other lead. They emit light over much of the visible spectrum upon electrical excitation, and are revolutionizing many communication and display technologies.

In this activity, various instances of LEDs are shown, and LEDs are compared and contrasted with incandescent light bulbs.
