Using Vectors to Construct Carbon Nanotubes

Audience

High-school chemistry, physics, and mathematics students

Time Frame

Set-up: 10 minutes
Activity: 55 minutes
Clean-up: 5 minutes

Objectives

After completing the activity, students will be able to:
1. identify and name the three types of carbon nanotubes; and
2. add vectors tail to head to determine the circumference of a carbon nanotube
