Blue LED Circuit

LED circuit connected to battery and emitting blue light

The circuit for lighting a blue LED is a very easy circuit to build.

Components for the blue LED circuit: blue LED, 1 kohm resistor and 9-volt battery snap

It consists of the blue LED, a 1K ohm resistor, and a 9-V battery clip.

LEDs have one lead longer than the other. This long lead must be connected to the (+) terminal of the 9-V battery using the clip leads.One lead of the clip should have the 1K ohm resistor soldered to it and the opposite end of the resistor soldered to the LED, as shown below.
